Everyone at our agency plays a unique and special role, and Account Directors are no different. Building on their formative years, an AS has long been comfortable being the day-to-day contact and driving ongoing and impactful earned media for clients. Now they’re ready to take their career to the next level and start building on their people management and agency leadership skills.
OK, here’s your to-do list:
- For Water & Wall:
- Supervise and mentor team members
- Participate in all aspects of new business efforts
- Support the firm’s recruitment program (identify candidates, interview them, etc.)
- Market the agency through events, webinars, blogs, social media, podcasts, etc.
- Introduce the agency to potential clients (for which you get a sizable + lifelong commission)
- For Clients:
- Oversee all account activities for your clients
- Review all client-facing documents to ensure it meets the high-bar our clients – and we – demand
- Work closely with clients to shape/refine their communications strategies
- Secure ongoing and quality earned media coverage that can be distributed across clients’ owned channels
- Demonstrate a strong sense of clients’ evolving needs and identify – and provide solutions for – potential hurdles that may negatively impact clients’ reputation
- Your Street Cred:
- 4-6 years of financial PR agency and/or in-house financial institution experience
- A strong interest in all areas of financial services, from institutional asset management to and B2C to FinTech
- An insatiable curiosity to understand how the global financial system works and how that system affects investors
- Someone who thrives in a team setting and loves to work with others
- Anticipated salary range: $100,000-$200,000. This is based on Water & Wall’s good faith belief at the time we published this job description. Actual compensation may vary based on myriad factors such as an individual’s professional experience, the overall market conditions, and skill level as it pertains to the requirements of the role, among others.
