Summary:
This is when agency professionals really start to develop their account management and team leadership muscles. Can you handle all that’s happening on your accounts without disruption when the account director is away? Can you confidently lead client engagements, whether that’s an informal Teams chat or a formal presentation of next year’s strategy? If yes, then you’re ready to be an SAE.
OK, here’s your to-do list:
- For Water & Wall:
- Supervise and mentor junior team members
- Show your ability to rally the team for intra-office and client-focused activities
- Participate in new business meetings
- Help in strategy development for prospects
- Introduce the agency to potential clients (for which you get a sizable + lifelong commission)
- For Clients:
- Consistently demonstrate your ability to lead on all necessary client work
- Develop creative ideas that you can convert into results (earned media, content, social, etc.)
- Stay in front of clients in all ways to keep them informed on your work and outside events that may impact their business. Be their ear to the ground.
- Know the earned media outlets that make the most sense for your clients and develop/maintain strong relationships with key reporters there
- Secure ongoing and quality earned media coverage that can be distributed across clients’ owned channels
- Your Street Cred:
- 3-5 years of financial PR agency and/or in-house financial institution experience
- A strong interest in all areas of financial services, from institutional asset management to and B2C to FinTech
- An insatiable curiosity to understand how the global financial system works and how that system affects investors
- Someone who thrives in a team setting and loves to work with others
- Anticipated salary range: $75,000-$100,000. This is based on Water & Wall’s good faith belief at the time we published this job description. Actual compensation may vary based on myriad factors such as an individual’s professional experience, the overall market conditions, and skill level as it pertains to the requirements of the role, among others.
