Associate Account Executive
Summary:
This is where it all starts on your path to agency success as our entry level position. Any AAE who has the drive and ambition to be on our team should demonstrate, above all other skills, two things: an endless curiosity about how brands use strategic communications to better engage with the people they care most about, and a strong desire to dive into the fast-changing global business and media ecosystem.
OK, here’s your to-do list:
For Water & Wall:
- Bring a positive attitude to a high energy team that “shows up” to work every day.
- Ask questions, bring new ideas, interact with your colleagues (virtually and in-person) and make your voice be heard. You’re here for a reason and we want to hear and learn from you!
- Introduce new ideas, tools, media relationships, and industry concepts to the agency based on your research or general professional experience beyond client work.
For Clients:
- Track and report account activity with a high degree of detail and consistency.
- Meet ongoing deadlines for all account deliverables.
- Be an active voice on account work in written comms and on video calls.
- Consistently demonstrate your ability to support account leaders.
- Write concise and compelling pitches for account leader review.
- Over time, pitch and secure media opportunities on a consistent basis, even beyond planned outreach.
- Develop client-specific ideas that you can convert into results.
- Secure quality earned media coverage that can be distributed across clients’ owned channels.
Your Street Cred:
This position usually requires that you have up to a year of experience, including an internship, which in all honestly, can be in this industry or another. What’s important is that you have the professional maturity to understand what it’s like to make a full-time commitment to a corporate job that involves a lot of asking questions, working in a team, learning and meeting deadlines.
Anticipated salary range:
$45,000-$60,000. This is based on Water & Wall’s good faith belief at the time we published this job description. Actual compensation may vary based on myriad factors such as an individual’s professional experience, the overall market conditions, and skill level as it pertains to the requirements of the role, among others. Bonuses, whether they be episodic or scheduled, are based on individual and agency performance. Our comprehensive and ever-evolving benefits package, we feel, remains second-to-none in our category.
