We support the FCS in promoting its annual Portfolio Awards program via organic social media campaigns.

The Financial Communications Society (FCS) enlisted Water & Wall to be its communications agency of record for the second year in a row to help promote submissions for the 31st anniversary of its Portfolio Awards competition. Some of the goals that FCS gave the team included the development of an organic social media campaign to increase call for entries and to broaden its reach across financial services firms as the number of submissions impact of the success of the Portfolio Awards event itself and ticket sales help to fund the FCS’s year-round educational initiatives, community outreach programs, and scholarships for emerging talent in financial marketing.

Results

The team developed a social media calendar with content from January to March, encouraging industry participants to enter the call for entries. On a larger scale, Water & Wall launched the “From the Judge’s Chair” series, working closely with three judges from the 30th Portfolio Awards competition as they shared their insights on factors for a winning campaign and emerging industry trends. The team also drafted and put a press release over the wire announcing the opening of the award and providing context on this history of Portfolio and FCS.
