SSGA hired Water & Wall to increase the visibility of their executive leadership and investment teams with a focus on active management and asset stewardship/ESG. As much as the brand was commercially popular among consumers for its SPDR ETF suite, its asset allocation strategies were not at the top of the list for U.S. institutions, and the firm’s asset stewardship/ESG efforts were not well known or understood.
